The Ring Group section is used to manage groups of extensions that receive incoming calls together or in a defined sequence. Ring groups help distribute calls across team members and improve the chance of calls being answered promptly.
Add Ring Group
The Add Ring Group section is used to configure a new ring group and assign member extensions.
Number: Defines the ring group number used to route calls to the group.
Title: Defines the name used to identify the ring group.
Announcement: Selects an audio prompt to be played before the call is delivered to the group.
Music On Hold: Selects the music played to callers while they are waiting.
Ring Strategy: Defines how calls are distributed to the selected extensions.
Agent Timeout (s): Defines how long each agent or extension rings before the call moves according to the configured strategy.
Skip Busy Agent: Prevents calls from being sent to extensions that are already busy.
Extensions: Defines the member extensions included in the ring group.
Failover Destination: Defines where the call is routed if the ring group is not answered or cannot complete the call.
